December 2025 - Violet |
|
![]() |
Violet is a 5 year old female Boston Terrier who joing the Fur-Get Me Not family in 2020 and has since used our daycare, boarding, dog walking, and training services. Words to live by: "Ball is life!" We can't even say the word in our home! And now we think she can spell, so we have to use the word "sphere" when referring to it... otherwise we would be outside throwing with her 24/7. If she's not chasing the ball, she's laying in the sun. Favorite thing about our daycare team, dog walkers or office team? Our favorite thing about the Fur-Get Met Not team is their patience. Violet can be a lot, she has a ton of energy, she tends to be the fun police and can be obnoxious. The daycare staff and dog walkers have always been kind, patient, and understanding when Violet is not on her best behavior. We're not sure what we would do without Fur-Get Me Not. Favorite dog friend? Violet doesn't have just one favorite friend, she plays with many of the dogs in her group but what she really, really loves is her human friends that shower her with pets and love. Quirk? Violet makes very weird noises like a dolphin to get our attention, it's like nothing we've ever heard out of a dog. It usually means two things, "Please get up and throw the ball with me" OR "Give me treats!" If your dog could talk, what would she say? "I'm so nervous when mom or dad drops me off at daycare and I feel like they're never coming back to get me, but then I get so much love from my human friends that I feel calm and relaxed!" Why did you choose our service? Our vet at Clarendon Animal Care recommended Fur-Get Me Not during one of our first vet visits and stressed the importance of puppy socialization. Violet has been going to daycare since she was 6-months old and it's been really great for her and for us. It makes a huge difference when you have a daycare/dog walking service that really cares, understands the personality of your dog, and is willing to help you make the best decisions for their care and social interactions. |
November 2025 - Murphy Rose |
|
![]() |
Murphy Rose is a female Bernedoodle celebrating her 1st birthday this month! Although she’s only been part of the Fur-Get Me Not family for a short time, she has already enjoyed all the luxuries our daycare, boarding, dog walking, overnight stays, and pet taxi services have to offer. Words to live by: "I'm conquering treats, one chomp at a time!" Favorite thing about our daycare team, pet sitters or office team? Murphy Rose does not play favorites—she enjoys all snuggles and butt pats from the Fur-Get Me Not team. Murphy adds: "It’s always nice to have Laila come grab me when it’s time to go home from daycare --and I had the best sleepover with Dylan this summer." Favorite dog friend? Murphy Rose is a bit of a social butterfly and loves to play with everyone in her group, and these days she has been having a blast with Bailey. Quirk? Since she was a small pup, Murphy Rose has demanded "butt pats" as a greeting. When she throws her rump in your direction, just know it's her way of shaking hands. If your dog could talk, what would she say? Murphy Rose says, "I really am not a morning pup and would prefer sleeping in, but once I realize my parents are taking me to Fur-Get Me Not, I get super excited. I love coming to daycare to play with my doggie friends, because it's way better than staying home and watching my parents take Zoom calls from my crate. I also love the humans that take such great care of me while I am there. I feel safe and loved at Fur-Get Me Not, and it's my home away from home." Why did you choose our service? I was in a bit of a bind- when we brought Murphy Rose home we were both in 100% remote jobs, but soon thereafter I moved to an in office role. We did not want our puppy to join our family and spend her time in a crate most of the day, so I had to move fast to find solutions. In my internet search, I was most impressed by the overall structure and thoughtful programing available at Fur-Get Me Not--- the fact that there are 5 play groups when most daycares only have 3 made me feel comfortable for her to attend daycare while so young and still learning about the world. I KNEW this was the place for Murphy Rose! One problem-- Murphy Rose was a tiny pup (she came to us at about 5lbs) and there is a 10lb weight requirement for daycare. Murphy does not particularly like to eat aside from treats, so I spent about 6 weeks hand feeding her meals to ensure that she grew to the size needed to come. I am so grateful that we have found Fur-Get Me Not and that it all worked out. I want to be sure our baby dog has a safe and happy life, and we can rest assured that whenever Murphy Rose is with the Fur-Get Me Not team, she is being cared for by people who truly love her like family, and she loves you all back! |
October 2025 - Luke |
|
![]() |
Luke is a male 7 year old Golden Retriever that uses our dog walking and training services. His family has been clients of Fur-Get Me Not for 18 years!! Words to live by: "Wag your tail at life. Greet every new experience with an open heart and a joyful spirit. You might be surprised at what comes back to you." Favorite thing about our dog walkers, trainers, or office team? Scott Colson knows when Luke needs to watch the rushing water at Lucky Run stream. When Scott adds play time indoors after our walk, Luke is in heaven! Dylan Voldal is optimistic and patient with Luke’s impulse control training sessions. Favorite dog friend? The humans in my life- I am looking forward to finding a dog friend. Quirk? I can find a baseball anytime you walk me past a baseball field, and I will carry it all the way home. If your dog could talk, what would he say? The care my walkers provide have given my owners peace of mind. They can go out of town without being anxious about my well-being. Why did you choose our service? Initially I chose your service because your office is less than a mile from my home. I have been a happy customer for 18 years primarily because of the skill and devotion of our primary walker, Scott Colson. Anything else you would like to share? Fur-Get Me Not is the gold standard in the dog care business. Dependable, responsive, caring- never a misstep in 18 years of care. |
September 2025 - Zena |
|
![]() |
Zena is a female 2.5 year old mini Pinscher. She began coming to Fur-Get Me Not in 2024 and has been attending dog daycare and Enrichment School ever since. Words to live by: Zoomies, this could be her middle name. Zena lives by her curiosity and energy! She has endless energy and always wants to play! Everyone at daycare likes to show me pictures of Zena when she actually lays down for a nap, otherwise I would never believe them! Favorite thing about daycare team, office, or dog trainers? All of the treats and attention! Zena lives for attention and knows just how to get it from everyone. I also love that the trainers spend quality time with her to challenge her training and teach her new tricks! Everyone that interacts with Zena does so with such enthusiasm, I can tell how much they love her! Favorite dog friend? Clifford is her favorite and the best part is that Clifford is 3 times her size but neither one seems to care! She even gets excited when we say his name at home. Champagne is a close second, but she also likes to play hard to get by hiding under the table! Quirk? We've learned through Enrichment School that Zena LOVES to shred paper. We had no idea! What a great activity. We let her shred at home and she is REALLY good at shredding paper into the tiniest little pieces. And the best part, she likes to sit and watch us clean up after she is done. If your dog could talk, what would she say? Oh, she would tell us all about the fun games she played and all the treats she ate at School. She would tell us how much she loves all the people and all the attention they give her. I also think she would tell us all about her playtime with her bestie Clifford and the tug of war games they played together. Why did you choose our service? We knew as a puppy that Zena really needed a daycare that would challenge her, give her plenty of exercise and attention. Min Pins are high energy and SMART. We could never fully give her what she needs every day at home so her days at Enrichment School and daycare are a great way for Zena to use up all her energy and use her brain! She is usually asleep before we get home at the end of the day. Since going to Enrichment School and daycare, she has gained so much confidence and is well-behaved around other dogs. Anything else you would like to share? We are so happy to have found Fur-Get Me Not. We wanted a safe place for Zena to grow her confidence, socialize and learn. And we love everyone that works with her, they treat her as if she is their own. Even Zena's human Grandmom loves reading her Report Cards! |
August 2025 - Winston |
|
|
Winston is a male 9 year old beagle. He began coming to Fur-Get Me Not in 2024 for reactivity dog training and began using our daycare a few months later. Wintston has also paired daycare with numerous enrichment activities, nature walks, our on demand training service, and has taken many dog training classes and workshops since. Words to live by: As a stubborn beagle, Winston lives by the motto: “Never say never.” In his world, every decision he makes is the right one. No negotiation necessary. Favorite thing about daycare team, office, or dog trainers? Winston lights up when he sees Juliet, Brianne, and Diane. Based on the sweet notes we get after daycare, it’s clear he’s also built strong bonds with several of the amazing folks who care for him at daycare. They just get him. He started off as a middle-aged rescue who viewed people as "stranger danger". The friends he has made at Fur-Get Me Not have helped restore his trust and confidence. Favorite dog friend? Winston has a particular fondness for the lady dogs, especially during training…when he really should be focusing. Outside of Fur-Get Me Not, his favorite friend is Ava, a gentle Newfoundland he hangs with at his Sunday SniffSpot. Quirk? Winston sees himself as a large, imposing, mission-driven guardian and hunter, so it’s hysterical how obsessed he is with trying to access the stash of plush toys locked up in the training building. Also, his flirt game with the ladies? Strong. If your dog could talk, what would he say? “You guys smell very trustworthy. Thanks for letting me be me… unless I’m being extra, in which case, thanks for gently redirecting my drama, and showing me better choices.” Why did you choose our service? We were referred by our behavioral wellness specialist in Fairfax, and it’s been the perfect fit. Winston’s friends at Fur-Get Me Not have helped him build confidence through classes, enrichment activities, and lots of patient support. Anything else you would like to share? Winston is a sensitive, soulful, slightly dramatic gentleman who’s learning to be brave again. Thanks for being such a big part of his journey! | |
July 2025 - Ruby & Piper |
|
![]() |
Ruby is a female hound mix, she just turned 7 years old! Piper is a female pit/boxer mix and she is 6 years old. They have been with Fur-Get Me Not since 2020 and utilize our at home dog walking, dog daycare & boarding, and dog training services. Words to live by: Piper: "Why did you stop petting me?" Ruby: “Is it time for my nap yet?" Favorite thing about any of our dog walkers, daycare team or office team? Ruby loves daycare because it is the only place where humans don’t terrify her! She spends more time with the daycare attendants than the other dogs and loves getting pets from them. Piper loves her walks with Dylan and waits for him by the apartment door every morning, even when she doesn’t have a walk scheduled. Favorite dog friend? Ruby: Brownie. Piper: Her sister Ruby. Quirk? When we get home after being out all day, Piper barks until we join her on the couch, and then she growls until we pet her. We call those her “angry pets.” Ruby is known to howl at people she doesn’t know. We live in a tenth-floor apartment next to some office buildings, which are rarely occupied, but when Ruby sees someone, she howls and howls. Piper, unsure of what is going on, will "help out” by running around the apartment and barking in all directions. If your dogs could talk, what would they say? "Piper loves her long walks with Dylan, but she wishes he would let her eat bird poop. Ruby is so happy to have FGMN, where she gets to play with other dogs and lounge with humans that she trusts." Why did you choose our service? We were impressed by the great reviews and wanted to support a local business—we have never been disappointed! We know the folks at FGMN take great care of our babies. |
June 2025 - Carli |
|
![]() |
Carli is a female Goldendoodle who turns 10 years old this September. We've been caring for Carli since 2015 when she was a puppy providing daily puppy walks. Now, Carli frequents our daycare & boarding facility. Words to live by: "Please don't ring my doorbell!" Favorite thing about our daycare attendants or office team? I tricked the Fur-Get Me Not team into giving me delicious parmesan cheese with my meals years ago when I refused to eat, and now I get parmesan with every meal! They give me lots of cuddles and rubs. And they give me fun nicknames that my mom adopted too -- you can call me Carls if you like. Favorite dog friend? Hmmmm. My neighbor Finnleigh is pretty great, but mostly I just like my humans. Quirk? I only walk down stairs on three legs. I don't need that right hind leg when I want to get downstairs quickly! If your dog could talk, what would they say? "I've been going to Fur-Get Me Not since I was a little puppy. I love all the friendly greetings when I arrive, and I love all my human and dog friends there. I also love my special holiday meals at Fur-Get Me Not, but please -- no more green beans. I really wish you hadn't taken that video of me moving them off my plate. Embarrassing." Why did you choose our service? Given my heavy work and travel schedule, I did extensive research when we adopted Carli. Fur-Get Me Not was the obvious choice and has been critical in enabling us to feel comfortable when we have to be away. We know Carli is in good hands! |
May 2025 - Ignatius |
|
![]() |
Ignatius is a male Goldendoodle that just turned 2 years old! Ignatius joined our daycare family last year and we have the pleasure of seeing him every day. He also participates in our early drop-off plan and greets us before our doors are officially open for the day! Words to live by: "Yes, I know what you want me to do. I'm too busy doing what I want to do." Favorite thing about our team? Everyone knows Ignatius. They always greet him and genuinely seem happy to see him! Favorite dog friend? All of his Playgroup E buddies, especially Biscuit, Pepper, and August. Quirk? You know Ignatius is tired when he is on his back, paws straight up in the air. There is no tired like Doodle tired. If he could talk, what would he say? "Thank you for acknowledging my wonderfulness. All the pats and love are necessary and appreciated." Why did you choose our service? Convenient and friendly! Ignatius loves going to Daycare every day! Anything else you would like to share? Ignatius loves people and dogs. He feels we are all here to cater to his every whim. FGMN does a great job of allowing him to be spolied all day long. |
April 2025 - Tom, Gray & Gerbert |
|
![]() |
Tom is a male 14 year old street-smart stray tabby rescued from the mean streets of St Louis more than a decade ago. Gray is a 14 year old female and British gem, rescued from the rolling fields of central England almost a decade ago. And Gerbert is a male 6 year old local rescue who has never had to live on the streets and thinks hardship is when he doesn't get an afternoon nap with his favorite human. We have had the pleasure of pet sitting for them since 2021. Words to live by: "Life is too short: always nap in the sunbeam whenever it appears." Favorite thing about our team? Play and treats! These kitties aren't anxious when their humans are away. Favorite friend or toy? Tom: fresh hemp rope! Gray: catnip toys! Gerbert: chasing ping pong balls, especially down the stairs! Quirk? You know how cats like to chase lasers and lights? Gerbert is hooked on shadows. He'll trip you on the stairs trying to "protect" you from your own shadow! If they could talk, what would they say about us? "Thanks for keeping us fed and happy!" Why did you choose our service? We wanted a consistent and reliable service. Anything else you would like to share? Gerbert is Grandma's favorite grandchild. She sends him a card every holiday. |
March 2025 - Elway |
|
![]() |
Elway is a 9 year old female beagle mix. Her family has been using our service since 2017. Elway attends dog daycare, boarding, at home dog walking, training classes and workshops. Words to live by: "Treats, belly rubs, and more treats!" Favorite thing about our team? Every time we walk into daycare, the staff are excited to see "Miss Elway." It's nice to know that she's treated with such love when she's away from home. Favorite dog friend? Buddy Quirk? Elway likes consistency, so she's been known to growl at landscaping features and furniture if it is new or has been moved. She'll also let out a dramatic howl if she's not fed dinner at 7pm on the dot. If she could talk, what would she say? "I love sitting next to the daycare attendants and watching the other dogs (when I'm not napping, of course -- a girl needs her beauty sleep). If FGMN ever needs a new daycare staffer, I'm ready to lead the pack." Why did you choose our service? When I got Elway, I wanted to do basic dog training since I hadn't had a dog since I was a child. In the research that I did, all signs pointed to FGMN having the best training classes in Arlington. So we signed up, and it was such a great experience that we kept adding more services like daycare, boarding, and walking. Pretty quickly FGMN became our go-to resource for all of our dog needs. Anything else you would like to share? If you or your dog has ever dropped a treat at FGMN, rest assured that Elway found and ate it very quickly, so it did not go to waste. She does a methodical sweep of the floor when she enters and exits the building. |
February 2025 - Camellia |
|
![]() |
Camellia is a female lab/terrier mix who turns 1 year old this month! Her family has been using our service since 2014. Camellia attends dog daycare, enrichment school, boarding, puppy/senior walks, pet sitting, overnights, puppy & tween socials, training classes and workshops. Words to live by: "I love learning and I’m ready to go to school NOW! Also, chicken please! " Favorite thing about our team? I love playing with all my amazing [care takers] at daycare, boarding and enrichment school! I always have fun at training and puppy/tween socials with Juliet, Malia and Megan! I also love when Mr. Bob, Mr. Winthrop and Ms. Lisa can care for me at home when my regular humans are away. Favorite dog friend? Hudson Quirk? I love to steal slippers off your feet and napkins off of laps, and run away, haha! :) Sometimes my ears go inside out, and I love crossing my paws like a little lady! If she could talk, what would she say? "I LOVE school and I am the BEST student! I always get so excited when my car makes the turn into the parking lot and I understand where I am! I’m trying hard not to jump but I have to jump for joy! " Why did you choose our service? "FGMN takes the best care of dogs and we love the variety of daycare, boarding, in home care and training options available!" Anything else you would like to share? We chose FGMN ten years ago to care for our precious dog Douglas, which was the best decision as the wonderful staff took the best care of him including saving his life while we were out of the country! It was an easy decision to continue with FGMN to care for our new puppy and are so proud of how much she has learned and grown in almost one year! |
